Can a Chad License Holder Drive in Japan?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

No. A driver\u2019s license issued in Chad is not valid for driving in Japan. A Chad-issued International Driving Permit should also not be used for Japan unless Chad becomes covered under the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic and begins issuing IDPs in the proper convention format.<\/span><\/p>\n

Japan only allows foreign drivers to use specific documents, including a Japanese driver\u2019s license, a valid International Driving Permit issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, or a recognized foreign license with an official Japanese translation from limited approved countries and regions. Chad is not included in Japan\u2019s translation-based exception list.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Avoid Fake Online IDPs for Chad Travelers<\/strong><\/h2>\n
